Isabelle Konrad (*1998, Weißenhorn) is a media artist, filmmaker, and creative director. Her artistic practice combines film, performance, video installation, and photography, and explores power structures, social pressure, and embodied experiences of ambivalence, resistance, and liberation. Her work often begins from autobiographical material, which she transforms into fictional, narrative, and collaborative formats.
Alongside her independent artistic practice, Isabelle Konrad works as a creative director, developing visual concepts, narratives, and audiovisual strategies for cultural institutions, brands, and projects. Her approach is conceptual, cross-media, and collaborative — spanning idea development, dramaturgy, and visual language through to realization.
Isabelle Konrad studied Media Art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe) and at IUAV University of Venice. She is a co-founder of Lichtspielsauna e.V.
Her film installation "It's Okay Now" was shown at ABA e.V. Berlin and BBK Karlsruhe. Further exhibitions include "Mindbombs" at Kunsthalle Mannheim and her solo exhibition at Galerie Tobias Schrade.
Her filmmaking encompasses the medium-length film "Paranoia" and the feature film "Purpur", awarded "Best Women Film Maker" at Boden International Film Festival. She is currently developing the XR project "Anima Morale", nominated for the AUREA Award 2026.
She lives and works in Karlsruhe and Ulm, in Germany.
